Senior Accounting Analyst Detavast

Our client is a dynamic, international organization. Currently they are looking for an Senior Accounting Analyst who can work full time/ 40 hours a week and can start directly/ as soon as possible.

This is a semi-secondment position. The first six months you will work through our organization and after that, if everything is going well, you will get a contract at the organization itself.

The salary indication is to be agreed.

Tasks and Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Analyst will be among others:

• You will be in charge of the accounting services for a number of (Dutch) subsidiaries of the company;
• You will assist other entities on the field of accounting;
• You will ensure that for each legal entity (accurate) financial records are kept;
• You will ensure that for each legal entity the accounting procedures and policies are applied consistently;
• You will work closely together with your collegues;
• You will participate in projects and activities that belong to the whole accounting team;
• You will lead the accounting services on a daily basis (reconciliations, posting journal entries and so on);
• You will execute/ recommend accounting adjustments;
• You will review and analyse of balance sheet and income statement accounts;
• You will manage reconciliations on a daily & monthly basis;
• You will resolve complex issues, related to accounting duties;
• You will support the (whole) finance team when needed;
• You will try to improve the reporting and accounting processes;
• You will try to improve the reporting and accounting controls;
• You will have audit responsibilities (like good preparation of audit requirements);
• You will have year-end responsibilities;
• You will assist in tasks that are related to tax accounting;
• You will be preparing statutory financial statements;
• You will manage management reports;
• You will manage the production of regulatory information;
• You will function as a back-up for your colleagues of the accounting team.

The ideal candidate for the position of Senior Accounting Analyst meets the following requirements:

• You have a degree in Accounting (Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA));
• You have more than 7 years of accounting experience;
• You have a good knowledge/ good experience with ERP systems (preferably experience with SAP);
• You master the English language on a very high level;
• Dutch language control is an advantage;
• If needed, you are able to travel to another location for a couple of days per month;
• You are able to deal with daily accounting issues in an autonomous way;
• It is an advantage if you have worked in large international environment(s);
• It is an advantage if you are used to work with people on different locations;
• It is an large advantage if you have experience with corporate accounting in combination with experience with large public accounting;
• You have experience with working with people from different cultures and with different backgrounds;
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• You are a demonstrated self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to manage and accomplish multiple tasks/priorities;
• Ability to accomplish tasks in an efficient, timely and accurate manner;
• Pro-active with good sense of initiative;
• You have a strong helicopterview;
• Your analyzing abilities are highly developed;
• You are flexible and you are able to deal with strict deadlines and work under pressure.
