Data Architect Azure Detachering

Are you a Data Architect Azure in creating a set of tools and services that allow our client to gather and process the data with the use of cloud computing? Our client is a dynamic, international and listed company. She is a  leading supplier of technological systems in the region The Hague and they are looking for a temporary Data Architect Azure, starting ASAP. You will manage components for data storing and components that enable data processing.

What are you going to do?

• Designing and optimizing the Azure Data platform
• Translating business strategy into roadmaps
• Devising the architecture
• Design modern architectures involving modern Data platform, BI, cloud, and big data technologies.
• Design and build scalable and resilient Data & Analytics solutions in Microsoft Azure – architect technical solutions to obtain, process, store and provide insights based on processed data
• Requirements analysis, platform selection, technical architecture design, development, testing, and deployment
• Document all D&A components of an overall solution architecture on large projects
• Communicate a detailed ETL architecture and implementation plan to ETL Developers
• Implement the solutions you design and mentor other members of the team
• Ensure compliance with the architecture through team oversight
• Advise on hardware/infrastructure and software needs
• Define a strategy for meeting special data requirements
• Build client relationships and participate in business development and proposal work

Your skills are:

• Experience working in Azure Databricks, Apache Spark
• Proficient programming in Scala/Python/Java
• Experience in developing and deploying data pipelines for processing data from streaming and batch data sources
• Experience setting up databricks environment in Azure, spark clusters, scalable and sustainable data engineering jobs
• Experience designing data flows, building data strategy and documenting the process
• Working knowledge in Azure Datalake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Log Analytics, Delta Lake, Kafka, Structured Streaming, DataFrame API, SQL, NoSQL Database
• Comfortable working in Azure services like Azure Key Vault, Azure Functions, Azure VNET
• Experience designing and developing database tables and/or schemas using SQL/No-SQL;
• Experience monitoring and maintaining the data pipelines and jobs
• Experience setting up data zones in delta lake and implementing fine grained access control
• Experience assessing and defining a backup, archiving, and disaster recovery strategy based on needs and costs
• Experience guiding/training other members of the team and ensure compliance with the architecture through team oversight
• Experience working in Power BI to setup data flows, create DAX queries, reports and dashboards with near real time updates
• Comfortable with API, Git, Notebooks, Spark Jobs, Performance tuning, Container-based deployments, Terraform
• Familiarity with Data Streaming Architecture, Azure Synapse, Azure NSG, data catalog, Azure Purview a plus
• Willing to learn and apply new technology/techniques on the job
• Preferably Databricks Developers Associate Certified
• Design and document data engineering and analytics solutions that follows design principles and modern data architectures
• Excellent English language skills in word and writing. Knowledge of the Dutch or French language is an advantage
