Credit & Collection Controller Detachering

Currently our client, located in The Hague, is looking for a Credit & Collection Controller. Good command of the French and English language is required. Dutch language proficiency is not required.

As a Credit & Collection Controller your tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Ensuring the integrity of the customer database;
• Discussing customer receivable issues to the management;
• Performing account reconciliations;
• Recommending account adjustments;
• Mitigate financial risk by determining customer credit ratings/ security levels;
• Monitoring security levels and maintain them (bank guarantees for example);
• Booking daily banks and you will give back-up for the daily banks;
• Taking care of CRM tasks (in a timely manner of course);
• Maintaining credit limits with credit insurer;
• Posting journal entries;
• Processing transactions;
• Documenting transactions (SAP);
• Monitoring the customers receivable levels;
• Developing appropriate collection strategies;
• Analyzing accounts of customers;
• Contacting customers in order to collect outstanding amounts (you will do that by using OnGuard or approaching people by phone);
• Responding to customer inquiries regarding the collection matters;
• Submitting credit Insurance claims;
• Monitoring the progress of problem customers (which are handed over to an external office);
• Participate in the monthly closing (if it is required);
• Maintaining a monthly cash collection forecast;
• Assisting you colleagues;
• Taking care of the account receivables reports on a weekly basis;
• Organizing periodical/ strategic account receivables meetings;
• Handing over problem customers to an external debt collection office;
• Collecting and monitoring the outstanding debt of insolved/expiret etc. customers.

As a Credit & Collection Controller you meet the following requirements:

• Degree in finance or accounting;
• More than 1 year of accounting experience;
• More than 3 years collection/credit experience;
• Experience in an international environment;
• Excellent knowledge of the French language (spoken and written);
• Excellent knowledge of the English language (spoken and written);
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Demonstrated self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to manage and accomplish multiple tasks/priorities;
• Ability to work effectively in a team;
• Good PC skills, including excellent knowledge of MS Excel;
• Ability to accomplish tasks in an efficient, timely, accurate and customer-focused manner;
• Strong customer service skills and a positive and professional attitude;
• Proficiency in interpreting financial statements and understanding financial accounting;
• You have a solid understanding of billing and collection matters associated with service-related contracts;
• You are able to accurately process transactions and run reports using SAP.
