Our client is a technological online platform in the Amsterdam region and they are looking for an energetic Financial Controller. You will ensure that all related accounting activities are carried out in a timely and efficient manner, in accordance with the company policy, legislation and accounting standards.

What do your tasks and responsibilities look like?

• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Timely providing financial reports
• Present financial information to the management
• Monitor and improve general ledger accounts for different entities
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with DUTCH-GAAP
• (Inter)national VAT returns and income tax calculations
• Manage relevant audit data for the audit firm’s audit procedures
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and projects
• Checking the entries and managing the accuracy and timeliness of the balance sheet positions
• Collection, verification and analysis of documents relating to the economic, tax and financial activities of the international company
• Consolidate results
• Preparation of annual accounts, tax returns and reports
• Financial reconciliation
• Reporting to and supervising external auditors

What do we ask of you?

• A completed Higher Vocational Education (HBO) or University education in finance and control
• Experience with DUTCH-GAAP
• At least 5 years relevant work experience in an international environment
• Master the Dutch and English language fluently in word and writing
• Strong analytical skills
• Communication skills
• Presentation skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Experience with Exact is a pre
• Experience with deadlines and priorities
• Accuracy
• Being able to function independently
• Enthusiastic and positive thinking
• Flexibility, thinking in solutions and adaptable to change
