Credit Controller (Spanish or Portuguese speaking) Detavast

This opportunity is semi permanent, with the intention to enter into an employment contract with our client after a while. The salary indication is € 3.600,- gross per month.

As a Credit Controller you will have, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Ensuring the integrity of the customer database;
• Collecting and monitoring the outstanding debt of insolved/ expired customers/ invoices,
• Discussing customer receivable issues to the management;
• Performing account reconciliations;
• Recommending account adjustments;
• Monitoring security levels and maintain them (bank guarantees for example);
• Taking care of CRM tasks in a timely manner;
• Documenting transactions in SAP;
• Monitoring the customers receivable levels;
• Developing appropriate collection strategies;
• Analyzing accounts of customers;
• Contacting customers in order to collect outstanding amounts using OnGuard and approaching people by phone;
• Responding to customer inquiries regarding the collection matters;
• Submitting credit Insurance claims;
• Participate in the monthly closing, if required;
• Maintaining a monthly cash collection forecast;
• Assisting your colleagues;
• Taking care of account receivables reports, on a weekly basis;
• Organizing periodical/ strategic account receivables meetings;
• Handing over problem customers to an external debt collection office and monitoring the progress.

As a Credit Controller you will meet the following requirements:

• Affinity with finance and/ or accounting;
• More than 3 years collection/ credit management experience;
• Experience in an international environment;
• Proficient knowledge of the Spanish and/ or Portuguese language (spoken and written);
• Proficient knowledge of the English language (spoken and written);
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Demonstrated self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to manage and accomplish multiple tasks/priorities;
• Ability to work effectively in a team;
• Good computer skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
• Ability to accomplish tasks in an efficient, timely, accurate and customer-focused manner;
• Strong customer service skills and a positive and professional attitude;
• Proficiency in interpreting financial statements and understanding financial accounting;
• You have a solid understanding of billing and collection matters associated with service-related contracts;
• You are able to accurately process transactions and run reports using SAP.
